Bobcat
The adorable critter at left is a 14-week-old Bobcat kitten. Harmony Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has averaged one bobcat every year for the last five years.
Bobcats get their name from their stubby, "bobbed" tails. They are solitary animals, capable of fasting when food is scarce. They prefer to feed on small mammals, though they are capable of taking down an adult deer if other food is not available. Found only in North America, the Bobcat's worst enemies are humans and automobiles.
